Some may think unemployed life is all sunshine and roses and couch naps. Um NO. I find myself WAY busier as an unemployed person vs. working an 8-5 gig. Because you HAVE TO grind. Between networking, resume updating, searching and applying for various positions, goal planning, and plain organizing your life – holy smokes the days fly by!

Thought I’d throw together some “Tips to Stay Organized (While Unemployed)”:
1. Write OUT That “To-Do” List
If you’re anything like my you get a lil overwhelmed with everything that needs to get done. If you don’t actually acknowledge this list it can become completely daunting. Actually writing everything down is essential to make sure you’re getting it done. There is no better feeling in the world than crossing off items on the list – BOOM! Aw the little things

Whether it is family, friends, mentors, or colleagues – we all NEED a support network. Without these essential relationships we are doomed to fail. I truly enjoy surrounding myself with life-minded people and absolutely love collaborating to help each other out. These amazing folks provide sound advice or simply a word of encouragement. Hold these people close and be sure to thank them for all they do for you!
5. Deep Breaths n Stress Relievers
I have been stressing myself out WAY too much. So much to get done, need to find a job, the money isn’t coming in anymore, etc. My sleep has been suffering as I constantly wake up thinking about a new task or something that I need to get done. At the end of the day we need to take some deep breaths and understand life is a rollercoaster with many crazy ups and downs! Being unemployed does not mean we are less worthy – it is simply a transitional period in life. I find hot yoga to be my cure for stress. I CRAVE IT!!

Thanks for the article! I find it encouraging to read about these suggestions. I agree on all of the points. Simple yet effective????
That makes me so happy to hear lady and you are SO welcome! I NEED simple in my life right now. Too many thoughts and directions I could go in. Whew!
I am all about the "to-do" lists! I'm not unemployed, but having a FT job and blogging keeps me on my toes constantly!
I usually write out a {Weekend To-Do List} and then come Monday I see what I've accomplished and rewrite another one for the week ahead.
Everything will work out, so as hard as it is NOT to stress out constantly, take a deep breath and enjoy life:)
Thanks so much lady! Needed this today. Deep breaths indeed. Love your positivity and go-getter attitude!!
