I am finally ready to take my photography seriously (again). If you know me at all I have always been obsessed with pictures and truly have a passion and eye for photography. Not so much with portraits – what gets me more excited is product/commercial and landscape photography (it’s tradition for me parents to give me a black and white Ansel Adams calendar every year and I get so excited!).
Thing is – I have NO idea how to shoot in manual mode. I know I know – baaaad. Especially for a blogger. I tried learning three years ago. I took classes both online and in-person, I practiced, and I got frustrated. Hate to say it but I gave up. Back to iPhone photos it was ha!
I took part in The Blogger Project‘s blogger challenge during the month of January and it reallly helped me start the year out right. Every day was a new blog category and challenge to complete. Although a bit overwhelming as I was traveling in Maui for a week of it – I still got er done!
One of the categories was photography and it brought up frustrating memories. How had I given up on one of my main passions in life? Both Davida (The Healthy Maven) and Lee (Fit Foodie Finds) have been so supportive of all of us “newbie” bloggers and have enlightened new confidence in me to never give up.
I also want to be taken more seriously as a blogger. If I really want to make something of Four Season Fit then I would love to start adding appropriate sized photos, have a more consistent brand look, and start including pinnable images – oh how fun!
Like I said – I am finally ready to get back in to photography and not give up this time!
After lots of research, stayed tuned to learn which camera I invest in 😉
Am I the only one frustrated with manual?! What is the best way you’ve learned?
