There are SO many people that helped me accomplish my goal – running a full marathon. Without this support system I know I would not have checked this off the bucket list. I definitely want to thank a few individuals for going above and beyond to support this accomplishment.
My Parents – they were near Duluth the day of the race but still took time away from their plans to cheer me on. I bawled during each of the THREE times I saw them. I think my momma cried a lil too. Ultimate support team. Love you!
Beth – my marathon and yogi gal gave me so much advice and motivation the day of the race. We also car pooled up together, went to packet pickup and dinner, as well as took the bus to the start line. Very helpful to have a “teammate”
Caroline and Tony – this crazy awesome duo made creative signs, cheered me on, waited for me outside the med tent, and let me spend the whole weekend with them!
Eleanor and Mason – allowed me to stay at their home for the weekend, which was the perfect accommodation. Thank you, thank you.
Heather – created the ultimate marathon care-package including pre, during, and post essentials. I used everything and am so grateful to this outpouring gesture. You the best!
Leslie – sent a sweet card all the way from Austin, Texas including an adorable picture and sign of her fluffballs cheering me on. Seriously adorable. Proud Auntie to those gorgeous pups and can’t wait to visit Austin next month! YEEHAW!!
Venasky’s – added extra support by cheering me on around mile 22 as well as with a mile to go! This fam is the best.
Jen – my body thanks her beyond belief for taping my sore foot and hip for training runs as well as in preparation for the big day. I also stopped by her house for a much-needed intense sports massage after the race. Seriously a body savior.
And to the multiple other people for their supportive texts, calls, emails, and social shout-outs — a massive THANK YOU!!
