It’s crazy to think I’ve already been teaching group fitness classes for over a year now. Time flies when you’re having fun right?!
|Love me some TRX!|
I started Life Time Academy in July 2014, which was an 8 week intense program to get you prepped to teach classes and sit for the ACE Exam. Little did I know the journey this would put me on! After completing CPR certification and passing the ACE Exam (somehow, someway) I was ready to get my feet wet!!
I want to thank the following studios for bringing me on-board throughout the year:
Studio ME Fitness (Oct 2014-Present)
What can I say – this amazing studio gave me my start. I will forever be grateful to owners Megan and Erin (ME) for taking a chance on me as a brand new instructor. I started teaching BOSU Triple Sweat and HIIT Fusion classes until I was certified in Indo-Row, Shockwave, then TRX.
I love this studio as the owners and other instructors rock, the members are amazing, the classes are exciting and different, the location is beautiful, it is small and down to earth…and we have a TON of fun!

The SHED Fitness (May 2015-Present)
Absolutely love subbing at this exciting studio. There is so much equipment to play with for cardio class and of course I love teaching TRX as a total-body workout. I was so honored when one woman told me she was so excited when she saw my name on the sched. She mentioned she loves my class format and that I’m an awesome motivator. She also said she’d come to all of my classes even if I taught Monday AM. Made my morning (and year). This is the very reason why I do this. Inspiring others to live a healthy lifestyle. Follow your passions folks!!

Third North Apartments (Jan 2015-Present
I teach BOSU, HIIT, and Circuit at my apartment, which is free for the residents. So much fun to get to know my neighbors who are interested in taking care of themselves. Pretty darn convenient too!

Anytime Fitness (Dec 2014-Feb 2015)
I was a Personal Trainer and brought a group fitness class (Total Body Conditioning) to the location in Minnetonka. Although short-lived (could not keep up the 15 hour/week requirement with my full-time gig at 3M) it was an invaluable experience. I LOVED working one-on-one with clients as I got to know each person’s goals and could see their progress throughout the duration.
|On the WALL…So Proud!|
Throughout all of my fitness gigs throughout the past year, each one has solidified my decision to pursue this industry. I have found my niche teaching total-body workouts as I think it’s important to get it all done in a short amount of time. No sense wasting 2 hours at the gym. Get in. Work hard. Move on to your busy day!
I am my happiest self when I am pursuing my passions of health and fitness and truly believe my purpose is to help motivate people to reach their goals and live a healthy lifestyle. And with a smile on their faces of course
What is your “side passion”? What are you doing or pursuing in this area? If nothing – what holds you back?
Please comment – I’d love for this blog to be more interactive!
